global energy 2019 14The Global Energy Association on development of international research and projects in the field of energy will take part in the 24th World Energy Congress, which will be held on September 9-12 in Abu Dhabi (The United Arab Emirates). The event is the largest and most influential energy congress covering all aspects of the energy agenda.

It is organized by the World Energy Council. Within the WEC-2019 the Global Energy Association will hold its own session, delegate its experts to participate in key sessions of the event, present a bright and dynamic stand, and organize a special energy quiz as well.

The 2019 World Energy Congress will be held under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and will bring together the world's leading energy experts, government officials, business leaders, researchers to discuss the most acute industry trends. The forum is expected to bring together 250 speakers, 4,000 delegates, 500 CEOs, more than 50 ministers, and the total number of visitors will reach 15,000 visitors.

The main theme of the 2019 is ‘Energy for Prosperity’. Under its auspices, about 70 panel sessions and discussions will be held on the most pressing issues of the main areas of energy: the oil and gas industry, RES, the nuclear sector, hydropower, supply, storage, transmission and distribution of energy, coal mining and processing, and others.

Recall that the joint work of the Global Energy Association with the organizer of the World Energy Congress - the World Energy Council (WEC) began in 2018. Recognizing the importance of international cooperation, the parties held a series of negotiations on the development of mutually beneficial partnerships for the sustainable development of energy. The meetings were held with the active participation of Oleg Budargin, Chairman of the Global Energy Association’s Board of Trustees, World Energy Council Vice Chairman, responsible for regional development and Christoph Frei Secretary General of the World Energy Council.
